Christa was born and raised in Kentucky, but never liked to admit it. Being adopted, storytelling became her way of understanding how families are made, unmade, and remade. As a teen, she made comedy sketches on the family camcorder, which nearly got her disowned. She's taught math on both coasts and in Germany, completed UCLA's TV Writing Program, and volunteered for every school activity—partly to hang out with her kids, mostly to spy on them. Christa writes high-concept, female-driven stories. Her scripts have placed in numerous contests, including being a ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship Finalist. Whether it's menopausal women fighting invisible aliens or teens whose webcomics manifest in reality, her work blends emotional depth with chaotic fun.
